Week 2 of our climbing basics series, designed for those of you out there who have just got into climbing.

We’re continuing with hand holds this week. We’re covering a hold you’ll need to become well acquainted with if you plan to climb in the Peak District on grit stone crags such as Stanage Edge.

If you climb Gritstone crags in the UK you will surely be familiar with climbing on sloped holds, and trying to make the most of the friction between hand and rock.
