Bought them and they are really uncomfortable. Best get a pair for beginners and work my up to shoes like those so this weekend my plan is to visit climbing shops in the peaks and try some on :)

What sort of grades are you climbing? What size did you buy? What size are your feet? What are your climbing targets?

    Hi Liam
Im a UK 5 to 5.5. I managed to find some shoes that were snug but comfortable. I ended up with Boreal Sol. Tried various different brands and these (in my opinion) suited my feet. I ended up with a size 5.5 in these too. Purchased them yesterday then headed off over to Burbage North to try them out on some boulders and was really happy with them. Time now to learn techniques. I am bottom of the class at the moment as I am new to climbing so my targets are set low at the moment until my fitness level and confidence improves.

Still happy with my rock shoes :) Recently bought a Wild Country VC Pro II belay device which I'm also happy about. At the climbing wall I borrowed a VC Pro before mine arrived in the post and really didn't get on with it so was worried I'd wasted my money but the VC Pro II is so much better. I think Wild Country rectified the problems with the first one.

    Next purchase is a harness.

I have tried all different womens harnesses on and my favourite so far is the Black Diamond Lotus. Therefore, it has now come to a toss up between Black Diamond Lotus and the DMM Puma. Have yet to try the Puma on so once I have done that I believe a descision will be made.

Petzl Luna is an excellent ladies harness.
